Saying Cheers to 4 Years!

Saying Cheers to 4 Years!

Aubrey Lindsey

Happy Birthday to Ollie Lue!

Today Ollie Lue is 4 years old. I truly cannot believe how far this business has come since it first began - 2/22/21.

I started this business in the thick of postpartum depression and a 2nd pregnancy looking for a glimpse of happiness as an outlet of that darkness - IYKYK and I am so sorry. I first started making soaps, I wanted to try something new. I was already familiar with making lip balms, deodorant and body butters. Those products were staples to me, especially as someone with a commercial deodorant allergy.

My first soap was awful, truly it was. It smelled great but I recall being so happy. I combined oils, butters and lye water and boom. I made soap! I was so happy from this that I immediately began making another batch. I added more colors and fun decorative soap additions and it just made me smile. I thought that if something as simple as a colorful bar of soap could make me happy, then surely it could for others as well - alas, 4 years later here we are!

In these four years I have learned SO much about running a business. From a unified hatred of taxes to pricing by my time and importantly my worth. I am by no means a professional, I don't classify myself as one. I am still so new to the journey and have so much more to learn. However, I have grown so much personally. As an introvert at heart I have come out of my shell so much. I have been on TV, pushed myself to contact  other business owners for wholesale opportunities and partnerships and participated in hundreds of pop up events.

I have met so many wonderful people. Had strangers connect with me over shared skin issues, loss, love, genuine kindness and a passion for animals and the earth. Some of you as customers have become friends over these 4 years and that to me is something I will hold near and dear to my heart forever. The love and support that I have received is something I only dreamed up of years ago - and today it is a reality. Thank you so much to all of you for making this possible. Sharing my soapy journey with all of you and making smiles and happy memories is all I could have asked for. It is exactly what I wanted when I was in my kitchen creating my first soap.

Suds and Bubbles to you all,

Aubrey Lindsey
